Great images are not about the camera they are about the challenge to frame and capture the light and shadows.
This is your opportunity to explore and photograph a uniquely graphic venue filled with texture and detail. Join Photography Director/Instructor Michael S. Miller when we visit America’s most historic prison, Eastern State Penitentiary a National Monument in the heart of Philadelphia. Once the most famous and expensive prison in the world, today it stands in ruins, a haunting world of crumbling cellblocks and empty guard towers.
Framed and Locked Up spends an hour in a cellblock reserved exclusively for us with Michael providing you with techniques, concepts and immediate feedback.
Then we will head to the public space to challenge yourself, capturing the unusual textures, light and shapes of this preserved ruin. Michael will be providing one on one attention and engaging you to maximize your learning experience.
